Kombucha is a health drink that has been consumed for thousands of years. It is naturally fermented tea that is loaded with enzymes, antioxidants and beneficial probiotics that protect us from illness and disease.


Source Of Antioxidants.

Antioxidants are substances that fight off toxic compounds called free radicals, in the body. These free radicals are reactive molecules that damage cells in the body, increase inflammation and increase your risk of developing chronic diseases including things like cancer, heart disease, liver damage as well as accelerated aging. The acetic acid found in kombucha offers weight loss benefits. It is the component that gives it its vinegar-like taste and also, has been shown to positively impact insulin sensitivity and help in blood sugar regulation. The acid interferes with how sugar and starches are digested, and the result of this is only a few calories entering the blood stream, thus lessening their impact on blood glucose. This acid has strong antibacterial properties and has the ability to kill many potentially harmful bacteria, especially infection causing bacteria and a well known yeast called candida. Its antimicrobial properties suppress the growth of unwanted harmful bacteria and yeast but do not harm beneficial friendly bacteria.


The abundant amounts of beneficial bacteria, antioxidants and enzymes that kombucha has are also very helpful in cleansing our by getting rid of toxins and unhealthy substances from our body.
